I have a few more newbie ducking questions...

I have 2 female ducks that are still getting over loosing their 3 male buddies. But we wanted to get another female. Should I introduce a new duck now or wait until they adjust to just being the two of them?

Also how do I introduce a new duck?

Is a large dog igloo (got it for our German shepherd but she never used it) big enough to keep ducks in all night? Right now we have. Make shift pen with the igloo available if they want to go in. But I didn't know if it would be better for them to be kept inside igloo at night. We don't have a lot of predators around.

Thanks!

Predators that you never knew you had will find your ducks if you do not have them secured. An igloo should be fine, as long as it is inside of a secured pen. I use an igloo inside of a pen and it works great, plus I've had zero predator losses.

In terms of introducktions, slower is generally better, usually so that they can see each other but still separated by a fence. There are many threads here on both these topics, try using the search bar for more ideas.
