More Pictures of my special project "Orpingtons"

Hi and good luck with your projects. On the splash Orpington? shouldn't the legs be white and the beak white? Looks like some white rock in this guy?

Actually there is no standard for splash orpington, since it is not a recognized color variety. For blue the shanks should be leaden blue with the bottom of the feet being pinkish white.

I guess I'm not seeing the yellow you're referring to. I think it's probably the coloring of the photo if anything. I've got several spalshs that I've hatched from corancher's eggs and non of them have any yellow in their beaks or feet.

THAT is a beautiful chicken! Her face looks very much like my beloved Black Australorp, especially her eyes.

Pretty, pretty birds you've got there!!!!!

Nice typey splash rooster Corancher. It must be the picture, but I do see the beak is yellow tinged and the legs look kinda willow coloured IMHO

I would love to see another picture of him. Don't want to start a argument just my opinion.

Sorry everyone. I haven't been online today. The splash rooster has grey slate legs. Perhaps the picture color doesn't show that very well. Just to stop all this silliness I will try to get another picture posted soon.

I cleaned up this thread of argumentative and unhelpful posts and those responding to the argumentative posts.

Talking about breeds doesn't mean arguing about chicken legs once you make a statement and clarification is made. State your opinion in a non confrontational manner and move on.

We have had no problems about Orpington posts in a long time and we plan to keep it that way.

Thanks.

New pictures on page 1. Still not sure the picture shows the splash roos leg color. His beak does have a little yellow, white, and a black splash. Enjoy.
