I think this is the best place as my question pertains to flock management. As the title suggests, I need more roost space.
I can secure the outside rain cover area and in sorts it would expand the coop and give me more roost space. My question is about the likelihood of them utilizing the extra room by just removing the door marked with an X. Part of my brain tells me that they would be more likely to do so if I cut an opening at about where the square (don't give me a hard time, it's kinda a square) is and extend the roost there. I think by doing that they would think it's part of the same roost and may spread out.
Thoughts?
