This one just needs clear coated, and it's done.

I started this one over the weekend. I think it's going to be super cute when it's finished.

Yes I do!

Edited to add, I actually burn a lot more than the outlines. I do a lot of shading too.
That whole duck will be shaded using the wood burner. Then the lady who ordered that sign wants the duck painted so it resembles one of her ducks.

They will love it too. You can feel free to play with it lady..if you want to add eggs or a nest, more grass or whatever...go right ahead. I love the duck and the font so I am tickled.

OMG they are gorgeous, I have been looking online for someone to make me a sign that says "Fort Clux" ya know instead of Fort Knox as that is what we call the hen yard lol

Beautiful signs! I've never tried wood burning, but I've always wanted to. The results look so cool and very...well...handmade-ish!

Is it hard to do? I know it doesn't sound hard, but many things in art will sound much easier than it actually is. I would LOVE to draw a big picture of our place in the mountains, on a nice slab of wood, and burn to outline/detail it. Would make a wonderful gift for my dad

Thanks.

Just like anything, the more hours you have doing it, the better you get. It takes lots and lots of practice.
They sell woodburning kits at walmart for under $30. I would suggest getting one, and start messing around.

Or, If you want, you can draw what you want burned on the piece of wood, ship it to me, and I'll burn it for you.
