I am glad to read about the expanding foam! I was wondering if you could use it without the chickens pecking at it and possibly eating it . . .they are so curious they might?

I am so glad you posted the explanation of how you use this, because I am incredibly dingy. As I read the first sentence of your post, I though to myself, "But how do you get the snakes to eat it?"

What does snake poo look like?

I think it depends onwhat the snake has eaten. If it has been eating furry critters besides eggs, it should have fur in it. Maybe Google images of snake poo?

I am new to chickens do not have any . Just reading the forums to get ideas.

Very interesting reading as have found lots snake skins in my yard . Wasnt concerned unless 10 foot python skin lol.

Its foam that comes in spray type can. It "squirts" out as a thick foam than hardens rock hard.

There are different types but you may have seen it in home repair type stores sold as "Great stuff" .

I like to use the hardware cloth first, staple it over any cracks, then put the spray foam over top of it (aimed only in the crack). After a few hours I cut any excess foam off. My chickens will peck at it and my eat alittle

, but because it's aheared to the hardware cloth, not much comes off. And they eventually figure out it's not food!

I didn't realize that I had made it sound like that!
I don't know what snake poo looks like, usually I can only tell they've been there by finding snake sheds.
