More than Bumblefoot?! Please Help!!

My quail has recently cut her foot. We soon realized that she had bumblefoot however it appears as though poop has fused to her foot?!? I am really scared for her. Please Help

Can you post a picture of her foot? If it’s not to bad I bet she will heal up just fine

I cannot. We are currently trying to pull it out right now in fear that it will get infectious due to the feces

Alright, the best way to pull it out is to soak her in an epsom salt bath with a small dog of dish detergent to loosen the tissue. Then you css as n use tweezers or your fingers to wiggle it and then pull it out. Can you post pics while you are doing the pulling out. If it’s to bad you may have to do surgery.

It has already been pulled out. It has been more of a surgery though. We had to cut and she bled quite a bit more than we thought that it would. Everything seemed to go great and we are hoping she has a full recovery

We had a chicken with what looked like bumblefoot between her toes. Never looked like it bothered her and we left it alone for a very long time. It had the small scab on the top. Not too long ago my husband picked her up to look at the bottom of her foot and he thought she had poop stuck and started scratching it off. Next thing he knew the whole bumblefoot kernel popped out. No bleeding. Just a big flap of skin and you could look from the scab hole through the bottom. We had to clean the dirt out that would pack back in for a couple of days until the skin closed up but she is fine now. You would never know she had it.
