more than one egg a day?

Our bantie girls started laying about 3 weeks ago, adorable little blue, brown or light pink/brown eggs. Two days ago there were 10 out there (we have 7 girls) but I chalked it up to the kids missing some the day before. Yesterday there were 6 and today 8...can they lay more than once a day? I was expecting more like 3 or 4 every other day and I'm starting to have to come up with more egg recipes around here LOL!

Well on Sunday I got 3 chickens and today so far I have had 5 eggs!! GREAT...keep it up chuckies we love eggs.
