More Than One Egg/Day?

I am getting more eggs each day than I have females laying. Anyone else get more than one egg/day from their Coturnix?

I haven't, but there are others that have. My jumbos usually give me 8 eggs a day, from 9 birds

One day I got 17 eggs from 15 hens I believe. I think they laid some during the night, then some in the evening the next day.

What can be happening is the hen is laying late at night and then again in the early morning (or vise versa) i forget how many hours it takes to make an egg but it IS possible for htem to lay two eggs in a day

takes a lot of energy out of them if they do it too much so make sure they're getting a decient supply of calcium and protien and they should be fine if they are spunky egg layers

I got 18 eggs from 9 layers yesterday evening - and the day before I had collected twice (morning and early afternoon) and gotten 9 total. So, I think they all laid in the night and then afternoon/evening. I was shocked to find that many in one day though! I'm gonna have to start giving eggs away because they are laying more than we are using!
