More than one egg!

For those who have ducks, I have two jumbo Pekin ducks. They lay one egg each ( 127-135 gms each) per day. Although, twice I have found 3 eggs in their nest. I do check every day because they are poor mothers. I don't want them to eat them. They routinely lay their eggs at dawn. I have found two in the nest then later in the day, one in the pen. Once I found 3 in the nest. Is this possible or are do they have one hung and the next day they both come out?

One duck can lay twice a day it’s not very common but I have had it happen!!

I have had chickens too lay more than one egg. Very unusual but can happen.
