Moron better known as my Rooster

I am begining to believe freezer camp is calling his name. He and my Barred Rock fight, the BR has to be on the roost before the red will go in and when he does get in the BR jumps from the roost and you would think a coon is in there. The red will eat eggs and mate with hens when they are trying to lay. I believe his time is up. Now I have to gain the courage to do it and then catch him which might be next year he is hard to catch.

If he roosts in the coop seems like catching him should be easy. Wait until it gets good and dark and walk in and pick him off the roost. Any rooster of mine caught breeding hens while they are laying would be a dead one. I would have no patience for that, no courage needed.

If he is a good one that you want to breed you might take him out of the pen until he matures a bit. Young roosters (assuming he is) can be a real pain.
