Moscavy Ducks

I have 3 Moscavy ducks around 3yrs old. They all wonder freely in our clean back yard. We cliped only one side of their wings so they wouldn't fly away. For about the last year, the other side of their wing tips seem incompleat, now both sides are looing dirty and tacky?

Does anybody no the reason for this? Is this normal?? What can i do to improve the appearance of their wings??

Could they be molting?
Molting is when ducks lose their old feathers to be replaced with new ones.

Offer your ducks clean, fresh water every single day to bathe.
Make sure their bathing water is clean or it defeats the purpose.

When given fresh bathing water, ducks usually keep themselves very tidy in appearance (except while molting).


If the untidy appearance was caused by the way you clipped the wings, I'd suggest having someone come out who is more experienced and show you how to properly clip duck wings.
