Mosquito control?

Not sure how this would work with ducks but if you're using a stock tank you could add mosquito fish (gambusia). As long as they have a place to hide, like cinder blocks, they will reproduce quickly and they may even hibernate overwinter if the tank isn't too shallow and you break a hole in the ice. Some local governments give them out for free. I had to buy mine but they're not expensive and 10 quickly became hundreds.

If I had a permanent tank, fish might be something I'd consider, but I've got a pretty small operation on a very small lot.

Having the local government come spray is intriguing (and what my brother used to do). I bet I could go in on it with my neighbors.

I just did a quick google, and did NO actual research so don't go beheading me if this isn't a good product... But this or something like it seems intriguing if in fact it is just that the weather has made for a bugpocalypse. I feel like 1,000 sq/ft would probably just about cover my whole little yard, and at $100 a pop, could even get one for the patio and one for near the duck coop/fence. I don't buy anything off the internet without doing an unreasonable amount of research first, but something like this could be a decent option (along with making sure you're not adding to the problem with stagnant, standing water.)
