Please .....I live in Fl. and the mosquitos are so horrid.............they seem to fly near the chicks, the chicks can catch them and eat them, when the lights are on, but I don't how they are doing when it is dark... I know this might seem silly, but I am new to this chicken thing.

Another Floridian here so I know what you mean. When I go out at night with a flashlight, I am shocked at the amount of mosquitos on my chickens, I am surprised none have died from bloodloss. The one thing you have to be careful about is fowlpox, mosquitos carry that and probably many other avian diseases. But unless you have your entire coop enclosed or you bring the chickens in at night, there's not much you can do so I wouldn't worry.
