most annoying things

Don't care. ESPECIALLY when they put their spit bottle on the register belt and DON'T tell the cashier what it is, so the person checking (me) picks it up and it is WARM with chunks in it.

Or my personal favorite, the throat clearing, hock-a-loogey spit. Where you just want to hurl because they've spit RIGHT where you were about to take a step.

*Animal abuse, cruelty, neglect etc

*Littering

*When my kids pass their father, who is on the couch watching tv, to come ask me something, when I am busy, like balancing the check book. Even worse, he doesn't even step in till I say something, when he knows that I am busy.

*Parents that ignore their kids in the store. I hate it when a little kids sits there and says "mommy, mommy, mommy!" and the parent doesn't even acknowlege the child! If you don't want to speak to your child, or don't want to answer them, then correct them and tell them to ask nicely, or to tell the child to wait for a more appropriate time. I know, sometimes easier said than done, but still. I have two young kids, they don't misbehave in the store, if I can help it. But I also acknowledge them when they speak.

*People that cough in public and don't cover. I always seem to be walking right behind them. I can feel the germs spreading to me.

*Yes, the spitting in public, as well as nose picking, by adults!

people who ask a question or advice, whom I respond to, AND THEN, they proceed to yes but me and give me five hundred reasons why I am wrong...grr!

people on the telephone who are asking for directions to my house and while I am giving them those directions, they proceed to argue about how wrong I am...do they think I don't know how to get home or that I am speaking from a remote location?!

parents who are non parents, especially those who let their little heathens run rampant in the grocery store when I am there...

edited to ad: self appointed experts and wilful stupidity

eating noises

someone shaking/bumping a bed or furniture I am sitting on

trying to talk to someone, but getting ignored because they are texting/watching tv/on the computer. Then the same person later on wants your full attention for what THEY have to say.

people, (ahem, dh) not listening to what I say, then his replies don't make sense.

Okay. I'll stop now.

I hear you on this! Recently a family member needed to have a procedure done in a hospital in another state. When we were registering, the clerk asked what our phone number was. I started giving it to her, and she starts questioning my area code. Asking if i was sure it wasn't ***. Umm..yeah, pretty sure. I mean I've lived here 15 years, pretty sure I know my area code. Had to use little words and explain we lived out of state.
