Most memorable moment(s) of 2007

2007 was a happy year.

Good things:
1. Got our first chicks!
2. Built our first coop!
3. Redone our horrible aquarium into a underwater masterpiece(visitors were pleased, but where are the fishes???! It's on a cycle!)
4. Got lots of money this Christmas!
5. Found the amazing aquarium site of Fishlore.com
6. Of course, found wonderful and helpful friends here in BackyardChickens.com.

Bad things:
1. The chicks were Cornish Crosses!
2. The coop is smaller than we thought it would be

Most Memorable:
Got my first cellphone for being valedictorian! (a Nokia 5300 XpressMusic, but later on replaced by a Nokia 5700 XpressMusic when my sis and mom were begging me for my 5300....It also became our first family camcorder because of the excellent photo and video quality.......we didn't need to buy another expensive camera!)

well 2007 wasnt really a good year,

but something were good like,

I got 3 new baby goats,
My hens hatched out 20 little biddies

I got2 livstock gaurdian dogs,
Killed the problem bobcat.
And i matured alot.
dint forget you, silkelovr, for being
a good freind.
and everybody that i have met on the forum,
that can handle my constant miss spellings's lol


well that bout tops it off

2007 was full of good and bad memeries but I think these stick out the most:

I got my first chicken from a movie theater. Yup.

So now I wanted to be a farmer and I love chickens.

As for the bad ,my second chicken and my sister's first died because of the heat.

Oh ya, and I hatched my first baby chicken! I had to help him get out of his egg.

2007 good:

Moved into our first home together.
My daughter is in a darn good school and doing great.
Got my chickens!
Became closer with my brother after 10 years of estrangement. (sp?)
Step-daughter finished first semester of college.
Advancement at work.
Got my heated waterer for xmas.
Dancing w/DH on New Years Eve.
Having amazing friends.
Everyone close to me is healthy.

2007 bad:
Pnuemonia
Going broke from having two houses! Just can't sell that old one!
DH going thru 3 jobs.
Lots of tension w/DH.
Having my step-daughter cry on my shoulder after her first love broke up w/her. The day after christmas!
Father going blind and mom in nursing home.

-I have to say this is a good thread. Sometimes it's hard to see the good in things and once in a while you need to be forced to stop and see that even the little things are worth living for.

-Found Chicken Television!!!!! Got chickens, wanted 3, now have 20.
-Went on a real nice trail ride with some ladies I met on a message board, then we had a Cuban feast. Very memorable.
-My 2nd depression free year, thank God
-Met a bunch of real nice down to earth full of good advice enjoy the simple life animal lovin people, thankyou!-Karen
