Most Reputable Hatchery?

Breeders are great, but there are also unknowns. You just have to find a reputable one, but I’m sure you already knew that.

However with a breeder it may be hard to find the breed you want, and if you want vaccinated chicks that can be hard to come by.

Hatcheries are great because the have so many options and most vaccinate if you would like it.

Cackle is supposed to be one of the best in terms of quality, Meyers isn’t bad either. There are also place like Greenfire farms who have rare quality birds but they are extremely pricey.

If you want quality I would stay away from Hoover’s and Ideal. I have yet to see a good quality bird from either.

McMurray and MtHeathy aren’t as bad but they don’t have amazing quality either.
Apart from my silkies, IDEAL is pretty decent quality wise in my experienxe. Especially my Cornish bantams

I've seen some pretty ugly chickens from hatcheries and I really just want a well bred chicken. I don't know what that means for most people , but for me personally I just want a well structured and decently close to standard, who is very friendly (according to breed, anyways, I know some chickens are friendlier than others)

I would personally go with Cackle. I have yet to hear a negative thing about their birds.

Come over to my place. I got pretty boys and girls that are friendly

Whats the most reputable hatchery?

I've heard lots about bad hatcheries, but what are the good ones?

(show quality hatcheries?)

Thanks :)
Greenfire farms (Greenfire Farms Website) is pretty expensive, but the spectacular bloodlines make up for the price.

Another great one is Meyer Hatchery (Meyer Hatchery) this has average prices, it also has great communication.

Depends on what breeds you are looking for. I had great experiences with Murray McMurray. Great customer service. I have a splash laced wyandotte with beautiful, clear lacing and two kooky white capped polish from there. 😊

I’m another one for crackle.
I’ll be receiving my third order from them at the end of the month. And likely placing another order at the end of the year.
Im very happy with my Crackle birds. Chickens, guineas, and turkeys. All beautiful, more friendly then my Hoover’s chickens, great layers, and just all around pleasant birds.
