Most Reputable Hatchery?

I am impressed with Cakcle Hatchery after ordering some Golden Spangled Appenzeller Spitzhauben straight run chicks from them in 2018. They actually took the breed they bought from another hatchery and worked on keeping the breeds special head feathering style in tact (the pompadour look). They shipped in a timely matter and the if you have any problems with your chicks, they will do a detective style questioning over the phone with you to see if there was something that could have been prevented at loosing a chick.

Cackle is my favorite. They have Really great quality chickens and They also vaccinate. I’ve never had any of them dead on arrival, and never had any incorrectly sexed. My barred rocks are beautiful coming from them. Great barring and very sweet:

We personally drove to Cackle Hatchery instead of shipping. I purchased the rainbow layer assortment, as well as extra Ameraucanas and Black Copper Morans. Sexting was pretty accurate, however, i did end up with 1 Roo out of 17. They are all beautiful and excellent egg layers. Rusty (the rooster) is a bit fiesty, but that is to be expected of a young rooster anyways. They have been handled since day 1 so they are pretty social with excellent demeanor. All of the Morans are heavily leg feathered and are the most beautiful shiny black you have ever seen. The Ameraucanas are perfect as well. The Easter Eggers are also all very beautifully marked. (I prefer unique coloring, so i favor easter eggers and mixes.) I know you said you don't really care about the eggs, but we have had great quality eggs and egg production as well. Lots of variations in egg colors from the EEs, and they dont seem to be all from the same crosses. My Plymouth Barred Rock we got from Orschlens, but she is quality too. Its sort of hard to breed for lap pets, as all chickens have different personalities and preferences, just like all of us. Visual appearance is easier to satisfy, and if you are looking for pure breed looking chickens easy to identify by markings and such, most big name hatcheries will satisfy your wants.

I've had good experiences with both Meyer and Cackle. I used Murray McMurray back in the day, and had good luck then, but I haven't ordered from them in at least 10 years.
