Mother goose

I decided to experiment with my goose. My goose is very broody, unfortunately she doesn’t have a mate. So I decided to give her 6 fertile chicken eggs to hatch. Today I was surprised to find all six of them had hatched! She just loves them to death, and is very protective. So if you have a broody goose you might try to give her some eggs.

Unfortunately we did take the babies away, we didn’t want her to step on them and hurt them on accident. She was not happy about it. However I plan to give her more to hatch.

Didn't think of that. Hopefully she's just as good with the next batch. What a good mama!
