Lately I have read that some people don't like using a motion detector. In a way they are right if they only use a light on it. You can plug a radio or a tape player in on it on one side and a light on the other. I also use a whisler which I found at the flea market. Now this by itself will send most predators on their way.m Each time one goes off my nearest neighbor about a half mile away comes wide awake. And I get a phone call, I let him spout off a few choice words to me before I tell him to go back to sleep that all the critters are OK. Yes, some predators get use to the lights, but by putting a radio or a tape player on one side os tp uch from them. I like tapeing dogs barking and the yelling at sports games. One thing I find is that some predators move to slow to set off the detector but most will. For those that already have the detectors in place try this method, for those of you thinkng about them try this method. It does work.

Oooh--I'll have to try that. And here I was researching purchasing laser-trip wires and a closed circuit spy camera....I like the idea of the sports games--that's enough to scare anyone!
