So we've decided to begin breeding mottled Javas & eventually all colors of Javas. Right now we've got a batch of aprx 5day old mottled pullets & were wondering what exactly to look for in a chick this young that would be the ideal "look" for this breed (feet color, feather color patterns etc...) So even though they are very rare, im hoping some fellow BYC'ers would be able to help me out a little bit with any info on the breed that i need to know about ! Thanks a bunch !!

    Hello ~
I am a new member of this forum; I am interested in corresponding with you about your Mottled Java's. Are you still raising this breed? I just got 6 chicks, and I've studied a little bit about this bird. I'm very excited about progressing with them to keep this breed clean and thriving.

I'm also very interested in the Java breed. I have 1 Black Java cockerel and I'd like to get some girls for him. I'm in NH. Anyone know where I might be able to find black or mottled javas?

I'm interested in this breed as well. There is something nostalgic about the mottled coloring. I will do some research and share if this thread stays active.
