Mottling / red skin

I was wondering if the mottled feathers gene in pekins is linked to the red skin gene? Does any one know?

As far as I know (and as far as google has been able to confirm) there is no red skin gene.

Mottling is mottling it doesn't matter the breed but I've had mottled cochin (pekin) as well as some other mottled breeds and none had red skin.
I also have never heard of a red skin gene.

Do you mean testosterone showing up in the shanks or mahogany showing reddish brown on yellow shanks?

Idk what the op means by red skin gene. Google doesn’t seem like it knows either.

What i mean is i know some feathers patterns are tied with certain skin pigments. Like with cuckoo feathered chickens have red skin 99% of the time. Does anyone know if the same is true with mottling?
