When do thye go through the moult how often and how long does it take?

I have heard they usually have their first one at around 18 months, but I have no idea how long it lasts or how long it takes for the feathers to grow back.

well mostly the molt happens in chickens older than one year during the fall time. It really depends on the breed and chicken how long they are in a molt.
