I have four hens, one a light sussex, is moulting resulting in bare patches, particularly around her vent. The other three are chasing her and pecking this area and having drawn blood they are so persistent in that they were preventing her from feeding. We have had to isolate her.
What would be the best remedy to prevent the pecking and treat the wounds?

Im also having this problem so I'll hang around this thread for when you get an answer haha. Im thinking of also separating my injured hen (in view of the others so she doesnt get kicked out the flock)

I would probably keep her seperated until she heals and is finished molting and hopefully they leave her alone. I should add that I'm a newbie chicken owner and so I'd wait for more experienced owners to reply!

I am in a similar situation but with my rooster and his poor wattles... the hens won't leave it alone. Best to keep them separated until it heals. If the wounds are superficial and already stabbed over it's probably best to leave it alone.

If it looks red, inflamed or there's drainage then I recommend posting a picture for some more specific advice.
