I've just been given some adult hens. One of them has a large baldy patch on its back. It's totally baldy, not downy or patchy. The skin is a nice healthy light pink colour and warm to the touch, not hot, so I don't think it's irritated or inflamed at all. Another has some downy patches here and there, mostly on the back of its neck and the base of its tail. Is this normal moulting, or does it sound more like plucking? I can post a photo if that would help...
