They eat lay mash right now. Well, some of it.
They will NOT eat the pellets but wonder if I don't feed them anything else will they eat crumbles?
Hate to starve them. I have been digging grubs from the compost but they have finished them off.
Prefer organic but not sure where to buy in my area,

If they are molting it's important that they eat well, even if they are fussy. I think you should just close your eyes and give in to what they prefer for now.

That"s the problem. They won't eat the pellets.
I bought some organic feed but they only ate the seeds out of it and left the finer stuff.
I am out of feed so need to get some today.
Maybe some crumbles would work.

Mush up the pellets? I bought some chick feed once that was in pellet form and way too big for them, so we wet it and crumbled it. Problem solved.
