Mount= Eggs Soon?????

So i read that when the rooster starts to mount the girls who are young , that means they are close to laying??? I have an 18 weeks 4 day old chickens a RIR , Black Australorp, SS, Golden Lace Wyandotte, and a light brown leghorn that all look like they are close as far as comb color and the RIR and GLW and leghorn are the most developed what do you think.??
The Rooster started mounting the RIR yesterday..

You should start finding eggs in about 2 weeks.

Last week my hen submitted to the rooster it was another 3 or 4 days before we got the egg. I also noticed she was starting to mess with the nest boxes and her comb and waddles suddenly grew and turned red.

Yes, most roosters will not attempt to mate a pullet until she is sexually mature. And sexually mature also means laying eggs.
