Anakin let Angel and Lil Mitzi walk in first. Lil Mitzi found a spot to lie down almost immediately, her swollen belly heaving with deep breaths. Angel lie protectively beside her, and Anakin came to stand beside them. He touched muzzles with his two mares as an apology for the long trek.
 
As the gale let up and the morning sun begun to burn away the fog, Anakin opened his groggy eyes and looked at his mares. Lil Mitzi was lying on her side, her belly looking even more swollen than last night. Angel was lying upright with her legs tucked under her, sleeping beside Lil Mitzi. As Anakin shook his coat out, Angel slowly opened her tired eyes, only to squint at the brightness of the light. Anakin nickered quietly at her, then stepped outside the cave.

"Good morning" Cowboy nodded at Anakin.
 
Anakin dipped his head to Cowboy. "Mornin'."
Not long after, Angel walked out of the cave. She yawned and then reared up slightly, stretching her legs. Her dirty fur was slicked to her skin, layers of muscle rippling through her each movement. She shook her fur out and nickered a good morning to Anakin. "Lil Mitzi will be up soon. She said the foal was kicking all night."
Anakin nodded at Angel, who lowered her head to graze.
