I went out to clean my chicken tractor coop and I saw mouse droppings next to my chickens water. It was strange to me because I keep the water on a piece of wood and the mouse droppings were only on the wood and not anywhere else in the coop that I could see.Guess the mice wanted a drink. Is it normal for mice to come around chickens or do I need to so something about it and get rid of them? Any suggestions? I don't want them spreading anything or contaminating the eggs.

Thanks

We don't find live mice in the coop. However, we have found dead ones. For some reason, our girls think some mice parts are delicacies.
