Mouse or Keypad?

I have been having trouble with my laptop, with my keypad - and I am being forced to use a mosue by my computer. It is finally working again! and I was wondering, what does the BYC members think abouts mouses and keypads? Which is better?

Do you mean trackpad? The rectangle thingy that acts as a mouse?

I prefer mouse over trackpad for a lot. If I'm on my desk I use a trackball mouse (you move your thumb instead of the whole mouse). If it's a laptop I use the built-in trackpad.

Check to see if there's an update for it on your PC.

Mouse. I like a trackpad just fine but the mouse makes that satisfying little click.

Forgot to add to this that trackpad quality really does make a difference for me. I have some laptops with terrible plastic trackpads. Other laptops I have have nice big glass trackpads.

I like using a mouse way better.
But I have a touchscreen laptop so I just use the screen, with/without a stylus, or the trackpad.
I pull out a mouse if I'm wanting to play a video game, always.

I like touchscreen laptops when the touch interface means I can get something done faster.

Windows 8 was really good about that. A swipe and three taps and my laptop will turn off.

Im not gonna bother learning anything like that

It just means scrolling and clicking is kinda faster (with the exclusion of BYC reactions, it doesn't like doing that )
Mostly I just like that I can do drawing on impulse without having to pull out a drawing pad.

How old is your laptop and does it need an update? Back before I got my own laptop, I would use my Mom's to make my videos and the arrow on the screen kept getting stuck. Then I was introduced to a touchscreen and now I refuse to get a laptop without one. If the arrow ever gets stuck, I can just touch my way to where I need to go.

Somewhere I do have a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, but I've never bothered trying them out. I like everything as is and I don't see any reason to carry extra stuff around seeing I sometimes use my laptop more away from home than at home.

Windows 10 got rid of that feature anyways.

Scrolling is so much faster with a touchscreen. Saves me who knows how much time. My laptop doesn't have one though.

Honestly, the touchscreens are terrible in a way
I used to pick on my sibling when they were using my old laptop and would touch the screen, it wasn't touchscreen but their one was so they'd just instinctively do it.

Now I do the exact same thing with the work computers I don’t know if I could go back to normal laptops...
