Hi, new guy here. My 5 chicks are about 3 weeks old and ready for a little more space. Are there any negatives to moving my coop (see picture) to the garage and placing them in there until they're old enough to go outside? I plan on blocking off the nesting boxes but leaving open access to the upper level via the ramp. Thank you

Probably fine to move them...depending on how you've managed their heat.

Interesting coop/run, don't think I've ever seen that model before.
Would love to see pics of the inside.

Oh, and..... Welcome to BYC! @TractorGuy
Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

Thank you. I'm using a ceramic bulb, currently. I will get some pics tomorrow and post them up. These are made here locally.

Here are a few more pics of the coop.

How do you clean out that coop? Does the roof hinge? Or is the rectangular window actually a clean out door?

It's a little odd that it has a ridge vent, but nothing else. Needs more ventilation (and light source) for sure if that's a clean out door and not a window.

What are the actual dimensions?

Was thinking much the same.
