Move it or build a new one...that is the question!

I think I am going to build an 8x8 and build it on runners so I can drag it with the tractor/drag it on to my flat bed with the winch. I will have to start a new thread on building this coop! Thanks guys!

I think you've arrived at a good solution. Building your coop on runners will give you great flexibility. You might reconsider your size choice though. 8 x 8 isn't very big. We built ours 10 x 12 (actually bought the building and converted it). We used 4 x 10 of it for our 'human' area for our supplies, etc. That left 8 x 10 for the 'chicken' area. We figured that would be enough space for 18 to 20 hens, but after getting it done and configured, I don't think it will hold that many.

You know what you need to do,you have the equipment to do it, Farm on!!!!

Will do! I'm hopefully going to start building Sunday. So we will see if I end up going bigger...my projects tend to end up becoming substantially bigger then planned...

I plan to put the coop on blocks so that it can be level. The only reason for it to be on runners is to move it. When you try to pull building with a regular floor system (where the corners are square) the corners dig into the ground. But if you have two ends stuck out past the coop a foot or so and then cut a 45* angle on the end it wont catch on the ground if that makes any sense. I'm not great at describing what I'm thinking on the computer.
