Well my 3 girls were flying all over the box I had setup as a brooder and they were already trying to find their pecking order. At 2 and a half weeks, I decided to move them to the coop as the brooder. I live in Louisiana and temperatures are 88/75. I let them roam the run today and they immediately started dust bathing and scratching like adult chickens. This is my first and it is extremely fun.

I find at 2 weeks chicks are ready for further mental and physical stimulation so I often start taking them outside at that age. Being moved to the coop is a wonderful idea, they should enjoy it after the initial shock.
