At 4 weeks old I moved the chicks out of the brooder to the coop, in a previous post
( building a new coop)
I show the two sections, hens and chick sections.
Anyway they are 5 weeks now and I am starting to integrate them , aart gave some good pointers (thanks aart)
For the last week they been separated, yesterday I put a corral around the littles run with openings large enough for the chicks to get through but to small for the hens.
Couple photos of my large run

This is then hens pop door and covered roof, and the chicks enclosed run

This is the chicks out in the corral , with a hen inside it also. I had to make a repair on the corral , then didn't bother the chicks. To busy going after scratch

This some of the chicks relaxing on the hens perch, they are getting braver

I will post the progress of the integration.
So far so good they get chased but nothing brutal yet ( knock on wood)

Are they all hens? My chicks are all still separated but only by chicken wire..but there are 5 cockerels and 2hens. I was told to keep them separated until the cockerels start bugging the hens..then separate them..pick the best to be our roosterrr..friendliest, etc...and then integrated hens....maybe I should move things faster?
