How long can it take them to start laying again as I am getting worried. I think one is an internal layer but I know the other should be fine. They stopped laying the day they came to build the new coop and shed which was March 31st (which did scare them as it was right next to their old coop). Then they stayed in their old coop for a couple weeks till we built their run. Just before we built the run (had the same 3 hens for 3 years) one suddenly died. So about 2 weeks ago this Thursday we moved the two girls into their new coop. During this time we made a smaller round pen inside the new run for the 6 4 week old new chicks to be in during the day. This seems to also be stressing out them as they carry on and on when we put the little girls in there. I would avoid doing so but we have no where else to put them and they are getting big enough that I also want the big girls to get use to them as much as possible. I think they may just be under a lot of stress but I see no way to have avoided it. I'm just concerned about not laying for so long. I hear them make their egg sond now and then and I go running to see if one layed an egg but nothing. If one of them had an egg in her the day they came to build the new shed/coop and she got stressed out from that and then everything that has happened since is it possible she could have an egg in her still from that time on but hasn't laid it due to the stress of everything? Should I be worried?
