Moved the coop HOW LONG B4 CHICKENS REMEMBER THE NEW LOCATION?

After 4 days of heavy rains, my coop(ground level, hay & dirt floor) the coop had this nasty odor, we decided it was best to move the coop B4 anyof my chickens became ill. It's only been 4 days, the only chickens that goes willingly to the pen are the 3 2-weeks old biddies & momma hen. My roo & the one Ameracauna hen keep returning to the old site. I catch them & put them in the new location at dusk.WILL 2 WEEKS BE A REASONABLE GUESS FOR THEIR ADJUSTMENT? I'm tired of this nightly "chicken rodeo"

Has no one moved their coop -(only 300 yards)? I know chickens have great eyesight, so is it just a matter of habit , till they become comfortable with the new location, and. . . "go home" ?

Maybe you'll have to lock them up for a few days, just like when you get new birds. This will kind of "imprint" the new location on them (maybe like resetting a GPS!
