These babies are tiny but I'm not a fan of chicks in the house. Out they went! It only took about an hour for them to get brave enough to go out. The crate was given to me for fire wood. We decided to use it for chicks instead.

I kept the first batch in the basement pantry. Things were busy, it was cold, and it is a bit of a treck to get to where the coop is. Plus it was my first time and i was wanting to spend more time watching and learning. It worked out. The second batch wouldn't have been in the house at all except my brooder was stolen from my brother's house. Wonder if its a dog house now. Anyhow, I had to pick up the chicks so they were put in a box in the living room till I could get a safe run set up on the crate that just happened to be dropped off here at the perfect time. I like his set up and just might copy it. Thanks for the link!
