Hi. Hubby and I are thinking of moving to our dream home as he nears retirement age. Problem is, where we're looking doesn't allow roosters, of which I have two. We won't be moving for at least 6 months, but more likely 18 months.
Is it... bad if I rehome my boys in order to move? I feel responsible for my flock. And I know how tough it is to find roos good homes (not keen on having them eaten).

We have a small dairy under 100 cows and we have to sell cows or bulls either they aren't producing or we need the money to pay bills. As harsh as it sounds most the time we hope they just get butchered, because sometimes their lives are miserable somewhere else. We name our cows we care about our cows, most the time we get choked up when they are loaded up to leave. Sometimes death is the best, that being said I hope you can find a home for your roosters.
