Moving broody hen and her chicks

I have a broody Cochin sitting on 6 eggs and she is currently in a nesting box where all of my other hens and rooster stay. When the chicks hatch, I would like to move them and the mama to a separate smaller coop until they are bigger. The concern I have is that the ramp from the house to the ground will be really steep for baby chicks. Any suggestions?

They do learn to navigate the ramp quickly. I move mine after the hatch to a smaller coop, and usually I keep them restrained to the coop for a few days just to make sure they are good on their feet and can run after her and then I let mama start taking them outside into the run.
