Moving Chicks & Mom into Coop

Hi!

Our chicks (2) are now 4 weeks old and currently have 6 hens and one rooster. We do not free range due to predators but we have a large enclosed run. This is our 2nd round of chicks and I honestly can’t remember what we did last time LOL. We are planning on moving them in at 5 weeks old so that the mama will still have her “protective” nature to watch them to make it an easier transition. Right now they are in a large dog crate set up right against the run so they can all see each other.

Move them asap, mom's likely about to wean them. 4-6 weeks is when that happens.
Next time, I'd move them out by the end of the first week, if that works fir you.
