I have 11 chicks that I'm about ready to move to my outdoor coop. They are 4 weeks and 4 days old. They are fully feathered except they have some downy feathers on their butts. I've kept them in the garage since they were hatched. We live in San Diego, and my outdoor thermometer says it's been as low as 41 at night. I've transitioned them to a regular light bulb (no more heat bulb). They don't even sit under it anymore. Their outdoor coop has 3.5 sides fully covered and a full roof. Think they are close to being ready?
