Moving ducks

Hey poultry ppl, cpl questions for everyone!!!
What is the best time of day to move ducks to their new home, in the morning when they first come out, or at night before they goto bed?? I want the transition to be smooth and not stressful for them.
And what kind of behavior should i expect from them after the move, how will i know they are settling in ok???? Thanks in advance everyone!!!!!

moving to a completely new area (like are you moving to a new house) or just a new coop?

also morning either way so they have time to settle in, but coop switching is much faster to get them used to

They are moving across the yard, they are almost 5 months, living in the basement still, so they really havnt spent any nights outside yet, slightly spoiled ducks!!!!

We move at night so the fall asleep and wake up in the new coop. That way they think it's always been there.

Well, they wont necessarily stay asleep while you move them. But if you pick them up quickly and smoothly, without any fuss then it should be fine. Otherwise you can put a towel over there heads when you grab them, and when they wake up, they can't see so that will keep them calm.

Do I put them away, wait awhile, then go back in??? Or should I get them in, and then immediately start bringing them over??? Should I leave a light on the first night????? Wow, I feel and sound like I'm sending my kids awY somewhere!!!!!!! ‍‍‍‍‍
