We're in the process of moving the hens from their original coop to our shed, the girls are laying their eggs in it already so I think it will be an easy transition. Yesterday I witnessed one of the leghorns moving her egg using the crook of her neck. Is this normal? Also, some of the hens are hiding eggs, I think. Any info on this?

They might be trying to set on them to hatch eggs. A lot of layer hens will start this but rarely go the distance. If you don’t have a rooster it doesn’t matter. If you do and don’t want chicks collect the eggs.

Whilst not unheard of leghorns have been bred to be non-broody. I’d suggest keeping an eye on that particular bird for broody behaviour.
