The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

The nurse that called made a big mistake in reading what she needed to give as his diagnosis. She couldn't pronounce the word Polycythemia, looked it up and started reading. . Polycythemia is a rare blood canc..er..she stops, says, oh, just go to your Dr's appointment on Monday. 🙄
She getting or had gotten a talking to because my son told him what the nurse did. I couldn't stop hugging him and kissing him. I keep letting out this sigh of relief.
Wow!!! She needed at least a talking to! Look at the grief and anxiety she caused how awful! Very happy for you and your son!!!

That's the sort of news you want to be sure is right before passing it along. Glad the news is better than it appeared to be ❤️

Oh my goodness! My son was at the Dr's office to get plans set. It isn't polycythemia Vera..it's only polycythemia. The Vera is the cancer part. They're still doing more blood work, could have the Vera part, but it's soo low that they would only check him yearly. For now? An aspirin a day.
Whew...!!!!
That is good news!

Check the skies, friends.
