The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hi Janie! You are welcome anytime. I do have a fireplace.
It does suck to drive in it. The last times I drove in bad blizzards were April of 2008 and April 15…5 years ago or so. I only remember that date because it was oldest son’s birthday. They let out school (April 2008)and sent us right into it. I had our youngest. My husband was with our oldest in St. Paul. It was their 6th grade class field trip. They got to see the science museum. They never made it to the capital. It wasn’t bad there, but they sent them home and they ran into the blizzard.

I don’t mind 32 if there is no wind and the sun is shining. How often does it get that cold in Texas?
I went outside long enough to feed the dog, cats and clean their litter box…that was in the garage. I’m not going out the rest of the day.

Hi Rene, thanks!
We occasionally get below 0. We get around a total of 20 to 40 freezing or below nights per year according to Google.
The summer over 100° days are supposed to be around 20 but from 2020 to 2024 we had over 40 per year.
I've had to drive in blizzards 3 times. I was a nervous wreck but fortunately I did not wreck. Those times were in the north eastern Tennessee mountains.

Oh my goodness! My son was at the Dr's office to get plans set. It isn't polycythemia Vera..it's only polycythemia. The Vera is the cancer part. They're still doing more blood work, could have the Vera part, but it's soo low that they would only check him yearly. For now? An aspirin a day.
Whew...!!!!
That's wonderful, Cynthia!
