Moving my coop

I would like to move my coop to another part of my yard.. Farther away from my house so hopefully they will stop using my landscaping beds as a spot to dig. What's the best way and time of day to do this? Should they be in the coop when it's moved? It will be in plain site from where they where before.. I haut don't want a lot of problems getting gem to recognize the coop again. They are free range

Moving the location of their coop has nothing to do with where they will dig while free-ranging unless it's a fenced in area?
