Moving. Not sure what to do with my hen.

No brainer for me. Take her with you come on you only have one.
If you turn her loose that’s irresponsible and cruel.
How hard have you tried to rehome her?
Would you just leave your dog? Your cat?
The shelters are full of animals that the owner decided to move and “couldn’t take with them.”
They usually have them in kennels right next to 6-8 month old puppies that “couldn’t be housebroken or chewed too much”

My duck doesn't mind the car. Your hen should be fine.

MissChick, I've never felt the need to ask any kind of question on a board before. So I must have been very concerned about the welfare of my elder hen. A three hour trip for an over six year old hen seemed very stressful for her.
Your response was so snarky and really unhelpful.
Did you read it before you sent it? Maybe through another's eyes. I'm sure you've been concerned over a pet before. How would you like it if someone talked to you like that? So many other gave such good advice and you were just hurtful.
I wish you the best Miss Chick. I wish you would treat others kinder. Even on the internet.
