Hi everyone. we are leaving next weekend to move from Oregon to Kentucky and traveling with 20+ chickens, 11 ducks, a 10 lb ChiChi menace and a goofy great Pyr X 1 year old pup. Was wondering if anyone along our route would be available for us to contact in the event of an emergency. Our birds will be in travel crates, a tractor and 2 small coops. We will be travelling with plenty of food and supplies for the critters. Our intended departure date is March 27th or 28th. This is our intended route

From Cave Junction Oregon over to Lakeview Oregon then

down to Winnemucca, Nevada where we will pick up I-80 across to outside Lincoln Nebraska and pick up I-29 South to

Kansas City, MO and picking up I-70 to St. Louis, MO then pick up I-64 and

heading to Louisville, Kentucky and I-75 to our new home in Sadieville, Kentucky

So, if anyone is along that route or close and interested in being an available stopping point or emergency contact if we have trouble with the u-haul, give me a shout here or send me a PM this week.

We are hoping for and anticipating smooth driving all the way there but it would be nice to know if we run into trouble, there are some BYCers along the way where we could at least get a hand or a place to temporarily off load the birds' crates if the trouble is with the u-haul.

Also, weather updates on the forecast closer to the weekend, would be greatly appreciated.

Keep us in your prayers all...we are going to switch drive straight through and get there as soon as possible as we have our feathered kids with us. We anticipate the 43 hour drive taking us 48 - 50 hours with stops to gas up, feed and water the birds and walk the dogs....and maybe eat along the way too. hahahaha

Hey WELCOME TO KENTUCKY!!! I just saw your post that you were traveling - I hope you had a great trip.
We live about 1 1/2 hours South of Sadieville but my husband works in Frankfort.
Hope everything is going well with your new home and if you need anything give us a shout - we'll see if we can't help ya feel at home.
