When is the best time to move chicks from their brooder to the coop? I heard 5 weeks, and I heard 8 weeks, and I'm sort of confused.

Thanks! I am getting my chicks on June 24 this year so 6 weeks later would be the last week of july or the first week of april. I will try for then. It should be anywhere from 70-90 degrees, so that will be perfect. Thanks again! -bbchickiesSome of that depends on weather..have been wanting to move my 6 week olds out, but it keeps hanging on to cold weather!
for now i have built them a temporary run where they can go out for some sun for a bit when its warm, then back inside at night. BUt I only have 5 chicks to move, lol.
It also depends on your coop, if it is heated or not, how drafty..etc etc.
