Moving to ireland

My bunnys are now with my aunt (marble and the guinea-pigs went too, we decided it would be easier)

We have put the grey girls down (the horses) :hit It happened on the first (Tuesday)
Star went crazy she jumped out of the field they were in ran around the property with my dad behind her she saw an open gate was about to leave through it but my dad yelled at her and she stopped in her tracks and went the other way, and started to follow mocha who had also gotten out and they made to their spring feild and we closed them in their
It was a very stess full day made even more stressful by star
After a day of running round the feild and calling for them and getting very very sweaty, she relaxed and has been okay since. On Wednesday I gave her a groom, we will be giving her a wash with the hose pipe to get the rest of the sweat off

We are going to my uncles next week (unless plans change) thusday/Friday

I will update you as things happen

Oh no. :hugs Lots of changes. I hope the rest goes smoothly.

I am travelling my duckies and the journey will be around 8 hours
So how many times should I stop to give them food and water?
And do you guys have any idea on what container they need to be in, would a dog cate work??
Thanks help is appreciated

I’d put ducks in a plastic tote with a lid of netting or chicken wire. When they poop it often squirts quite far and I don’t know what transportation you’re using, but I wouldn’t want a big mess :).

I’d feed and water halfway through.

Hope your move goes well!

Edit: a dog crate would work, you just might have more of a mess.

I would use a plastic box but one of the regulations is 3 sides have to be open for ventilation
So the journey is 5 hours from my current house to the ferry, whilst on the ferry I will give them free access to food and water and from the ferry to the new house is 3 hours
So you wouldn't worry about them being dehydrated if I only stop once for them? I will probably stop more than that but I wanted to know a minimum

I will probably use a dog crate for ease

Thanks 😊

Thanks it is hard and it made it worse seeing star go through that loss and her grieving, but she is fine now which I am glad of
I will definitely keep you informed

On Sunday we took the horses to a livery yard. It was hard, I have never been without my horses, I was born into a home with them and they have always lived at home. I miss them 😢.
