Moving to NC - Chickens is priority 1

Update:

Finally got our flock started a week ago. We got 2 Ameraucanas, 2 Rhode Island Reds, 1 Dominique, 1 Black Australorp and 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte. We began coop construction on an 8x10 ft coop. It will be built with new materials accept for the siding which will be 70-year-old reclaimed red oak barn wood. Went with a transparent roofing material to allow plenty of light in. If it's too much we can always block it. The watering and feeding will be carried out with PVC (nipples for the water). They took to them in the brooder like champs! We'll have a rain-water catch system off the back of the coop.

I appreciate everyone's input. We do have an issue with one chick. Please folow the link and let me know if you have any insight.
